Before you begin the Membership Application, please note the following:

  • Georgia Power FCU offers a variety of checking and savings accounts. Make sure to review and identify which accounts you would like to open prior to beginning the Membership Application.   • This application should take fewer than 5 minutes to complete.

  • A valid State Driver’s License or other government issued identification.

  • A valid Social Security Number or ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number).


The U.S Government enacted the USA PATRIOT Act in an effort to combat terrorism and money laundering. As a result, we are required to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account with us. We feel that these efforts also provide you with additional security against identity theft and fraud.We hope you will view these steps as additional security in safeguarding your funds.

To open an account, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Name

  • Address (Permanent)

  • Date of Birth

  • Identifying Documents listed above in “Information We Will Need About You”

  • Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements for membership. Please review Who We Serve

  • You must be 18 years old or older to apply online for individual membership.

  • Account opening is subject to verification by Equifax, a consumer reporting agency, and Credit Union approval.

  • You will have the option to fund your account online (coming soon) or by mailing a check.

  • Once you have completed the Membership Application, you will be prompted to print out your Signature Card. You MUST sign and return the Signature Card, a copy of your Driver's License/State ID, and your share deposit/ membership fee. Please make sure you are connected to a printer before you begin this application.

  • Your account will be activated once ALL of your information is received. Click "Proceed" below to begin your Membership Application.

By submitting this application, I/We certify that: I/We am/are within the field of membership of this Credit Union. I/We agree to the terms and conditions of the Membership and Account Agreement, Rate and Fee Schedule, Funds Availability Policy Disclosure, Privacy Policy, and Truth in Savings Disclosures and any amendments which may be made by the Credit Union. I/We further agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge receipt of all agreements and disclosures applicable to the accounts and services requested. If an ATM card or EFT services have been requested and provided, I/We agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge receipt of the Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement.
